There are no exciting pictures for us on this post. I sent out the link to this blog and realized I only had three entries, so instead of feeling lame about three entries I thought I’d feel lame about only having four.
Do you know how hard it is to find Mylar in Springfield? It is also known as Duralar and acetate and as “clear plastic sheeting.” It is like transparency paper, but comes in huge rolls. We need it for work in the next few weeks, and of course, nobody in town has it. This made for a long day of online shopping, as I’m just not as comfortable using the corporate card from my workstation on the first site that comes up. You never know what you might be buying! I was able to order some eventually, after a funny conversation with the customer service rep that didn’t seem to understand I actually am employed by the company that will be delivering my package, thereby making the (inaccurate) explanation of how the shipping will work unnecessary.
I’m sitting around waiting for someone from the CAP Winter Encampment to call me so I can update their blog. They are without internet access this week, so we’re playing phone tag to get the page updated. The parents seem to get a kick out of knowing what the kids are doing, which is cool.
If anyone is curious, I do not update the quote at the top of the page every day. Hit “refresh” to get a new quote. There are sixty quotes from a variety of places such as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I’d received some questions on that one, so now you know.
I have a very exciting day planned for tomorrow. I thought I’d get up early and go take an inventory of equipment at a facility at the airport. Then I thought I might do all the stuff due by Tuesday. I have insane time-management skills like that, and everyone should be jealous. For the weekend, I am heading to St. Louis after sleeping in on Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by, hope the format of the web page does not eat your browser, and have a Happy New Year!
