Saw the third X-Men installment today. It was kind of depressing and lame, but not hard to watch. I suppose I just expected more. The first two didn't suck. But hey, the upside is that McSteamy off of Grey's Anatomy (aka Eric Dane) is in it. Of course, there's little time to look at him.
It is also interesting how easy it is to come up with comparisons between the movie and real life, where "normal" can't be defined, and people may not want the "cures" we give them. Because it is a high-cost action film, though, it doesn't actually do anything with those concepts. Unless it is telling us that non-normal people should camp out in the woods and prepare to take on the Powers that Be. Wait, we have people like that around here, don't we? Nevermind.
Now I read that there was a scene at the end of the credits. I didn't stay. Good thing for internet spoilers.
On a completely unrelated note: How not to lead geeks.
One of the coolest videos I think I've ever seen: Animusic Pipe Dream. It is animated music. I can't explain it, but it is very nifty.
Less nifty, but more amusing, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain playing a Nirvana song. (also video)
Now for some scary but amazing photos of a huge storm in Kansas.
And a 6 page special on Mario Through the Years. I learned everything I need to know about beating boys at video games from this plumber and his pals.
