It is a New Year so it is time for a new blog entry. First, I changed some of the links to my pictures. It is a long story, but the new home for my house pictures is here.

I also made a new album to show off the ice damage. In case you missed it, Springfield is the site of a federal disaster area due to a massive ice storm that left pretty much every tree in town with multiple limbs falling. There continue to be massive power outages. I think the last count was 23,000 people inside the city without power. I was without power from Friday to Monday.

People here "federal disaster area" but don't know what it means. Obviously, it isn't as bad as Katrina. But some folks are running out of food, as they can't store it well. Lots are very cold. The schools are closed all week, so many have to take their kids to work or not go into work; assuming work has power and the business is open.
