Last year, I purchased a 15 inch deep allergy mattress encasing from Allergy Be Gone. I liked it, but wanted to upgrade to their better product (as I'd purchased one of the cheaper lines first) and so ordered another 15 inch deep encasing. When I received it, it did not fit. I emailed them several times and got many rude responses stating they didn't take returns of bedding products. I pointed out that either the first encasing was the wrong size or this one was. When that didn't work, I turned to the manufacturer, Allergy Control Products.
Although they normally do not take returns from the distributors, they accepted mine because of the horrid customer service I'd received. For the price difference between the 15 inch and the 18 inch ($3), they sent me a new encasing. I link this here because I think it is important to help out companies that do a little bit more than they have to in order to serve their customer, even in this case if I wasn't technically their customer.
I stumbled upon a very inspiring speech today by J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books. She was the Harvard Commencement speaker, apparently. I had been expecting humor and quips about Harry Potter but was unprepared for some wonderful insights and heart-tugging wisdom. 3 part video, starts here.
Here's an odd one. Man mauled by grizzly bear kills bear, relocates shoulder (is relocates the right word?), and then drives himself to hospital.
